While I was working on this I kept thinking of that song "Crying Sky" from Prince of Tennis...

The main thing I wanted was for the background to contrast with X's actual mood. The sky is right after the rain, and the sun is just starting to shine through...it should be a happy, hopeful time, but X looks like he's still in the storm.

The lineart's fairly obvious and straight forward, but it was a major challenge to get the coloring to match the image in my head...I practiced a lot of coloring, and probably redid the coloring entirely 5+ times... I'm just glad to have another finished colored work under my belt, even if it's not a big elaborate picture, and even if it's not entirely perfect.

Man, halfway, I was like "maybe I should've drawn him with his helmet...he doesn't really look recognizably like Rockman X" but...oh well. XD
